Currently drawing animals for a second week, so there's lots more to come. Since it snowed yesterday in Minneapolis (in April.. gasp!), here's a relevant one - studies of polar bears.

Theme No. 12 | Flowers

Spent last week developing some bird characters for an illustration that will hopefully make its way to the blog soon. Pretty excited about it, but needs some digital painting/finessing. Jumped straight into this week's theme of flowers today with some loosely composed daises and peonies. Attempting to relinquish control of tight compositions, erasing and planning. Can't really erase and plan peonies when you're drawing on a bus  :)

Birds

Theme No. 11 | Birds

A few birds from last week. Not quite a fan of the watercolor pencils although I keep exploring. Sometimes I prefer the drawings without the added wash, and for some reason the falcon looks more interesting in just ink. Perhaps this medium requires a very specific subject.
